Meenakshi Josyula completed her Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India in 2018. Following her graduation, she worked as a pharmaceutical process engineer for almost 3 years. She later continued her studies by obtaining a Master’s degree, also in Chemical engineering, from Ulm University in 2024. Her Master’s thesis was on the modelling of catalyst deactivation mechanisms and simulating them using physics-informed neural networks. Since May, 2024, she has been working as a PhD student in the Power-to-X Technologies group at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.

Her research focus is on modelling and simulation of adsorption-based direct air capture (DAC) of CO2. This includes detailed modelling of rate of adsorption, CFD simulations of adsorption columns, process parameter optimization, and techno-economic analysis amongst other things.
